About Us |
||||
| With 15 years of experience as a Japanese Culinary Chef, Daisuke Izutsu first came to Canada in 2001 as the private chef to the Consulate General of Japan. Daisuke also worked for Mark Thuet for one year upon completion of his three year contract with the Consul. In August of 2006, Daisuke and his wife Yumi opened kaiseki-SAKURA, their first restaurant to offer the unique style of kaiseki cuisine. Kaiseki-SAKURA invites you to savour the authentic taste of Japan right here in Toronto. In addition to the traditional Japanese ingredients, we take advantage of the bountiful seasonal materials of Canada. We offer a monthly course menu and a casual a la carte selection that is a perfect accompaniment to sake. Experience Japanese craftsmanship, the pristine craft of the Japanese cooking knife and the spirit of Japan, all while enjoying our selection of traditional sake. |
